Moreover, according to DMR website, in August 2016, 82% of monthly active Twitter users accessed to this social media from a mobile device. And in August 2016, 56,5 % of Facebook users only login from a mobile device.
Instagram is more used on smartphones than computers, that is the reason why advertising on Instagram is necessary for brands. Some brands have already started to include Instagram to their mobile marketing strategy.
Snapchat & WhatsApp
These two applications have more and more users, so brands can also use them in their mobile marketing strategy.
E-commerce on social media
Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest are getting more and more on the e-commerce development. This is the beginning of new ways of online consumption : we can buy products or services through social media.
Buttons like Shop Now on Pinterest, Buyable Pins on Instagram or Buy Now on Facebook are examples of e-commerce on social media. With this evolution, the line between a social media and an e-commerce app is not very clear.
